I have been struggling with depression for years and I found all the conventional methods do not help as I feel I am still the same. I have found that exercise helps me a lot but financial and depression prevents me from doing this much of the time. It was not until I started researching that I discovered there were exercise schemes in place. I believe this should be advertised more widely, the doctors provided with more information and be able to offer as an alternative as many people are looking for new ways to help with today's problems be it depression, anxiety, stress, etc. More should be done to make sure that alternative therapies are provided quickly as the new generation are moving rapidly away from the old conventional ways.
